Software Engineer

Location: Manchester, NH- United States

Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the Horizontal Operations Software Development Team. The selected candidate will have the responsibility for developing and maintaining best in-class tools, distributed test farms, product installations, and related development support activities for our industry-leading BIM (building information modeling) software used by architects, structural engineers, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) engineers, and building systems designers.


* Develop and maintain best in class tools

* Develop and maintain distributed test farms

* Develop and maintain Windows product installs

* Continually test, refactor and maintain code

* Contribute ideas for continually improving the team's productivity and code quality

* Define resource planning and development estimates

* Assist other team members as needed

Minimum Qualifications

* BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience

* 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in software development in C and Python.

* Full stack software development

* Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, and/or developing large software systems

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems

* Knowledge of software product development processes

* Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with any or all of the following highly desired:

* Experience with Linux

* Jenkins

* Open source software development

* Microsoft Developer Tools

* Windows Installer Technologies a big plus.

* Development tool chains (git, Jenkins)

* jQuery, MongoDB, Python, Node.js, AngularJS, XML, RabbitMQ

* Amazon Web Services

* Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed

* Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, and/or developing large software systems
