Corporate Counsel, Autodesk Construction Solutions

Position Overview

Here is a great opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic attorney with cloud services experience to support the newly formed Autodesk Construction Solutions (ACS) team. Autodesk BIM 360 cloud services provide tools for general contractors to manage their construction projects. Autodesk has recently acquired three additional companies (Assemble Systems, PlanGrid, and BuildingConnected) in the construction space. The ACS team aspires to create an integrated platform that is easy to deploy and adopt and that exceeds our customers' expectations and brings value to their construction projects.

Responsibilities

* You will provide legal support to ACS product and marketing teams, and partner with ACS leaders and team members to help create robust, secure, compliant and delightful cloud services for our customers


* You will learn and advise on new technologies, such as AI and machine learning, new business models, new strategic initiatives, and the ever-changing regulatory landscape


* You will identify and drive resolution of issues related to intellectual property, privacy, data security, social media, competition and other legal and regulatory areas in support of our cloud offerings


* You will help design and implement scalable legal and compliance strategies to address the numerous ledal needs of cloud products, services and platforms


* You will draft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements relating to cloud services, cloud platforms, cloud APIs, SDKs, data analytic services and tools, third-party software development, software, open-source software and other technology


* You will support cloud M&A activities, including advising on transaction structure, diligence, and execution, and most significantly assisting with the integration of the newly acquired entities



Minimum Qualifications

* JD degree from an ABA accredited university, and membership in good standing of the California Bar


* 5 to 7 years of experience providing legal support to software and cloud service businesses at a well-regarded law firm and/or corporate legal department



Preferred Qualifications

* Background in supporting both product development and marketing teams


* Prior in-house experience with a cloud services company


* Sound legal and business judgment


* Excellent presentation, negotiation, and drafting skills


* Hardworking, accountable, motivated


* Collaborative and collegial, sense of humor


* Ability to handle ambiguity, juggle many matters at once, and easily shift from one situation to another
