The Automobile Club of Southern California is seeking career-minded individuals for our Web Developer opportunity in Costa Mesa, CA. You will provide technical leadership and direction for the design, development, and maintenance of web applications. This position will participate in requirements definition and architecture reviews. The individual will develop detailed design specifications for complex systems along with conduct code walkthroughs and other technical reviews as required to ensure compliant and stable solutions. The Web Developer will mentor assigned technical team members through application of new technologies and best practices in software delivery process. 

Qualifications

Successful candidates have the following qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 8 years of designing and developing business critical web applications, in .Net or Java
  • B.S Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent in technical studies such as Mathematics or Engineering
  • Must be highly competent in these technology areas: Visual Basic (or C#) .Net, MVC, plus one or more of the following: ASP.Net, Web Forms, Web Services, SQL Server
  • Experience with Linux and CQ5 preferred
  • Solid foundation in distributed application design concepts and principles
  • Must be well versed in the entire software delivery lifecycle and best practices in application design and architecture
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum highly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well within a team environment as well as individually
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills with ability to express complex technical concepts in terms less technical people can understand
  • Candidates from financial and/or insurance software development environments highly preferred
