Job Description

AUSTEN RIGGS CENTER The Austen Riggs Center is internationally recognized for excellence in providing intensive psychodynamic psychotherapy in an open community. Located on a bucolic campus in the town of Stockbridge, MA, the Center provides a continuum of hospital, residential, and day treatment for people with a variety of complex psychiatric troubles. We are looking to add to our talented staff. Each position is full time 30 to 40 hours per week and requires flexibility in scheduling. Communications and Development Assistant Provides administrative support including maintaining and managing database (Raiser's Edge), creating lists, queries, mail merges and reports; managing event logistics, processing donations, including gift receipting, reporting, and acknowledgements, organizing marketing collateral, newsletters, and materials for professional meetings/presentations, preparing Board committee minutes and reports. Requires Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience, experience with event planning, experience with database management and demonstrated writing skills including, spelling, grammar, proofreading, and formatting. Psychiatric Nurses play a vital role in helping patients take charge of their lives through the establishment of a thoughtful and respectful therapeutic relationship that maximizes the dignity of the individual patient through support of their healthy, adaptive functioning. Requires current Massachusetts RN license, CPR, CPI, BSN and previous psychiatric nursing experience. Community Staff work with patients and staff to develop and facilitate a range of interpersonal, educational, cultural, and recreational groups and activities aimed at community building across our continuum of care. Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, or related field, Masters preferred. Experience working with groups, work in a therapeutic community setting, or group relations training preferred. Ability to teach yoga, mindfulness practices and/or meditation an asset. Prep Cook-Kitchen Assistant is responsible for dining room set up, serving, and sanitation, as well as assisting in the kitchen with meal preparation and cooking as needed. Requires kitchen or institutional dietary experience; ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekend and holiday rotation.
