Job Description

Athens Technical College is seeking qualified candidates for a Student Library Assistant for the Walton County Campus to work a minimum of 12 hours and a maximum of 19.5 hours per week. Applicants must be available to work at least one night per week until 8 pm and have a flexible schedule. Candidates DO NOT have to qualify for Financial Aid.

Deadline to apply is October 1, 2019 at 4:00 pm.

Minimum Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, applicant must

* Be an enrolled Athens Technical College student
* Be responsible and trustworthy
* Be detail oriented
* Have great communication skills
* Enjoy working with people.


* Previous library experience
* Microsoft Office experience

Athens Technical College's Economic Development Services serves a ten county area surrounding Athens. Our mission is to provide non-credit workforce development programs and lifelong learning opportunities to businesses and individual citizens within the communities we serve. Forming partnerships with businesses and industries, schools, agencies, churches, and community centers, we make programs more accessible. Business and Industry Services provides customized training and workforce development programs that are our core business. Programs are available to business, industry and non-profit organizations that are seeking to increase the skill level of their existing employees. Our customized training is tailored to meet specific needs and our classes include a variety of subject areas to include safety, computer workshops, first-aid, CPR, management and supervisory development, maintenance improvements, quality systems such as Six Sigma, and forklift training. The programs may be taught on-site at the company or at Athens Technical College locations and may be scheduled to accommodate all shifts. We also administer the Georgia Quick Start program and the Retraining Tax Credit program for clients in our service area.
