Job Description

The Learning Delivery department assists with selecting, negotiating, and contracting meeting sites; managing abstracts/calls; meeting planning; meeting registration; applying for Continuing Medical Education (CME); coordinating marketing for learning offerings; onsite meeting management; and planning and executing internal and external meetings in the AAMC Learning Center.

The Learning Delivery intern will learn the day to day work of meeting professionals and the important skillset necessary to be successful in the role. The intern will learn about exceptional customer service skills; teamwork and collaboration; critical problem solving skills during the planning and on-site management of meetings; conference venue operations; and gain exposure to multiple meeting management software

Responsibilities:

* Customer service/support for association staff and individuals interested in attending AAMC meetings
* Work with assigned team member to build registration in AAMC registration system and provide weekly updates and reports
* Site selection training
* Logistics management for on-site meetings (AAMC Learning Center)
* Consolidate list of potential prospects for the Learning Center marketing

Qualifications:

* Excellent communications skills (oral, written, and listening)
* Exceptional relationship and interpersonal skills
* Detail oriented
* Ability to work independently.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking and juggling multiple projects with tight deadlines
* Hospitality management major

If a bachelor's degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions. One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
