Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic Needed Full-time, great pay & benefits. Must have a clean driving record, be team player, strong in customer service, and be experienced in some areas of construction or property maintenance.

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, technical manuals and standard practices utilizing power tools, testing and analyzing equipment and other tools relevant to accomplishing the job.  Mechanic will observe equipment during operation, disassemble equipment for repair or preventive maintenance and conduct tests to verify and ensure proper operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS      50%
I ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES  
  Utilization of Preventive maintenance and work order systems  
  Conduct day to day operations.  
  Properly performs preventive maintenance and/or operational tests in accordance with JCAHO, HFPA guidelines or per AVH policies.  
II SERVICE EXCELLENCE/CUSTOMER SERVICE  
  Demonstrates purposeful service excellence through exceeding patient and coworker expectations.  
  Represents the department/hospital as a dedicated, courteous, and responsive employee  
III COMPLIANCE WITH RULES, REGULATIONS AND POLICIES  
  Records pertinent documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements, professional standards and hospital policy.  
  Adheres to federal, state and hospital rules and regulations concerning HIPAA privacy and security.  
  Follows Hospital compliance plan and policies, including the Code of Conduct.  
  Participates in required training for compliance related activities (HIPAA, Compliance, Patient Safety, TJC, etc.)  
IV UNIT SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES / DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS  
  Accurately records in logs, PM sheets, work orders, etc. work accomplished, time and materials, corrective actions and date of completion.  
  Consistently maintains and repairs equipment or systems utilizing proper tools & materials.  
  Performs daily inspection of equipment and systems while in operation to verify proper operation.  Investigates abnormal or unusual conditions.  
V PROFESSIONALISM  
  Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for own professional decision making and professional growth.  
  Participates and contributes to departmental meetings and activities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
 
·         High school education and trade or technical school
·         3-5 years work experience in a technical field or facility maintenance
·         Previous hospital experience preferred.
 
LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATIONS
 
·         Valid State of Colorado drivers license
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
 
·         Ability to concentrate and show attention to detail
·         Relatively high degree of analytical abilities
·         Strong interpersonal skills required
