Job Description

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer 1

ASML in Wilton, CT is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, to join the Development and Engineering department designing & developing mechanics for some of the highest precision products in the world.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, including mechanical design expertise in kinematics, dynamics, material properties & behavior, and structural analysis; experience designing and running laboratory experiments, developing software routines as needed, including data and/or image processing; familiarity with lens & optics mounting techniques (Optomechanics), lasers, light sources, fiber optics, cameras, assembly & alignment techniques; experience with optomechanical system design and high precision tolerances needed as related to optical alignment; experience with basic mechanical design for manufacturing, including basic machine shop equipment and techniques (CNC machining); expertise with mechanical analytical techniques, including "first principle" engineering equations and Finite Element Analysis; and strong technical writing, communication, & presentation skills required.
