Department: PHARMACY OUTPATIENT (4000-70711)

FTE/Hours: This is an On-call position (no guaranteed hours) based on the needs of the Outpatient Pharmacy

Salary: Is based on qualifications but starts at $22.83 per hour

Position Summary

As a Pharmacist Intern with Asante, you will have unequaled opportunities to develop the most of your talents and experiences within the Pharmacy team! This position, located in the Outpatient Pharmacy in Medford, assists the pharmacist with the delivery of comprehensive pharmacy care according to federal and Oregon State laws and department regulations. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will learn medication management, perform patient assessments and make clinical recommendations all while being part of a team providing safe and effective care to patients. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop leadership and supervisory skills.

The Pharmacist Intern must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with the Pharmacist, team members, and patients. Also, the Intern much be able to apply critical thinking skills to problem solve and work in a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

* Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a College of Pharmacy

Licensure/Certifications

* Licensed as a Pharmacy Intern by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy
* Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association and immunization certification
