Job Description




RF design engineer responsible for design of RF circuits for cable modem products that incorporate a range of wired and wireless RF technologies, including DOCSIS, MoCA, WiFi, ZigBee and Bluetooth. Candidate will work in multidisciplinary teams to develop leading edge products for the cable industry.

Additional Skills:

Background in digital communication systems, including modulation schemes such as QAM and OFDM

Background in RF circuit design and test

Experience with the development of DOCSIS RF subsystems (desired)

Experience with the design of Multimedia over Cable (MoCA) RF subsystems (desired)

Experience with the design of 802.11 Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ZigBee wireless RF subsystems (desired)

Familiarity with antenna design principles (desired)

Experience with design and test for compliance with regulatory standards (UL, FCC, etc.)

Experience with design and test for industry EMC standards (surge, ESD, etc.)

Experience with the design of low cost, high volume products

Comfortable working in a fast paced, multitasking environment

Prefer a candidate with 3 to 5 years of related experience, but will consider an entry level candidate with strong academic credentials

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
