Receive, inspect for damage, check in and report receipt of all maintenance materials, parts, supplies and equipment into SAP.  Store and secure all items that are received which include marking or tagging for identification purposes.  As necessary issue materials and tools and enter the withdrawals in SAP.  Use miscellaneous shipping sheet to record and return damaged or unneeded goods.  Complete daily cycle counts and physical checks of the storeroom. Identify and label obsolete items. Log and maintain obsolete items database. Maintain physical security of storeroom.  Maintain contacts with suppliers of regular store items.  Expedite the delivery of materials.  Question transactions and call attention to abnormal usage or events.  Perform local pickup or deliveries when directed.  Share responsibility with MRO Purchasing Agent for stores reorder, P-Card purchases and processing requisitions.  Follow internal control procedures.  Work with vendors on restocking.  Work closely with maintenance planners to confirm parts availability and location. .  Responsible for the management of storeroom bays and repairable stock items (send out, receive and put away once they return).  .  Develop and maintain data, measures and records. Execute the month end closing procedures and manage blanket PO's. Identify and implement improvement opportunities in stores management (example: bar-coding, housekeeping, general organization, etc.)..  Input hours worked into our labor system on a daily basis. Storeroom Attendant is required to work off shift hours on occasion to support production.  Manage and coordinate the plant vehicle maintenance and inspections (take vehicles to the shop for service and repair as requested by the lease company, DMV registration, insurance cards and documents, and all other vehicle related tasks)



Assist in maintenance work execution as required (weekend & weekdays).  Work with mechanics & electricians to complete required repairs, PM's, and improvements on plant systems.  Execute maintenance work / PM's on your own based on experience & competencies.  Write work orders for repairs.  Assist with SAP entries of work order and completion


This position will report to the plant MRO Purchasing Agent.


Marginal Functions: Perform safety audits as required.  Perform all routine occasional cleaning & organizing in the work area as required.  Operate mobile equipment as required to execute role.  Use MS Office and SAP computer programs.  Perform other duties as required or requested.


Environmental Conditions: Subject to general plant conditions of heat, dust, fumes and noise.

The South Gate, CA plant is a key strategic player in the manufacturing of resilient tile flooring and is one of six US vinyl flooring plants in the division. It employs approximately 120 people working across 3 shifts.
