Arkema Inc. is actively recruiting for a contract Electrical Engineer to support projects at our Clear Lake, TX facility.  The ideal candidate must be able to directly supervise resources or subcontractors mobilized on projects. The Electrical Engineer will be the owner of contact for interactions with EPC in Houston, TX

 

The ideal candidate will have the following expertise:

  • Management of Engineering studies from feasibility to detail stages (directly or with the support of an IEC)
  • Provide or validate specifications for Electricity design studies
  • Supervision of Engineering companies
  • Supervision of Construction subcontracts
  • Support to estimation for his area of competencies
  • For critical equipment, factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests
  • Define the power grid single line diagram

 

Technical referent:

  • Member of ARKEAM’s Technical Community and Americas representative:
    • Support to Technical Reference system management: Best practices, lesson learnt, technical directives…
    • Animation of regional network with plant specialists
  • In charge of technical and regulatory survey for the region
  • Manage corporate initiatives (Mechanical Integrity, Reliability program…)

 

Technical assistances:

  • Electrical representative for Americas, provides directly a support or through Technical Community

 

 QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Electrical engineer
  • Instrumentation design and construction experience required
  • Control systems experience - DCS (Honeywell, Foxboro) and SIS systems
  • At least 5 years of experience in design offices, engineering, maintenance department or suppliers
  • Good knowledge of codes and standards in Americas
  • Practice of main softwares for the design of facilities
