The AREVA Fuel Business Group:

The Fuel Business Group combines activities associated with the conversion and enrichment of uranium and with the design and fuel production for nuclear reactors. The production capacities of the Group, one of the world's leaders in the sector, are undergoing modernization

The Plant Engineering, Technical Support and Maintenance Department supports manufacturing of nuclear fuel. It consists of three teams; Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Software Engineering. The candidate would be part of the Electrical Engineering Team.

AREVA is seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer our Richland, WA location. Primary responsibilities will include:

* Start up, commissioning, operations, and maintenance of process and production equipment and associated facilities and support systems.
* Oversee field work which may include new installation, integration into existing systems, repairs and operation.
* When designing and maintaining the systems, validate conformance with applicable safety standards and requirements.

The candidate will be required to learn existing plant systems and support improvement projects and maintenance activities at a facility with highly automated chemical processing and assembly equipment.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.

* Engineer I - BS in Electrical Engineering PLUS 0-2 years of engineering experience. An advanced degree may be substituted for related exp. (MS 1-2 yrs. or PhD 1-3 yrs.).
* Engineer II - BS in Electrical Engineering PLUS 2-3 years of engineering experience. An advanced degree may be substituted for related exp. (MS 1-2 yrs. or PhD 1-3 yrs.).
* Engineer III - BS in Electrical Engineering PLUS 3-5 years of engineering experience. An advanced degree may be substituted for related exp. (MS 1-2 yrs. or PhD 1-3 yrs.).
* Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
* Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
* Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
* Design experience with AutoCAD software.

The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.

* Licensed Professional Engineer.

TRAVEL:

Domestic/International travel - 2%. Minimal travel for training or plant visits to Europe.
