Arcadis is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer / SCADA Automation Engineer with an interest in water/wastewater/environmental facilities design to join our team in Arcadis. This is a position that will, under the direction of a senior engineer or engineering manager, provide technical and design consulting services to support projects producing I&C design & construction drawings for water/wastewater and environmental treatment facilities. The engineer will, utilizing his/her knowledge of AutoCAD, produce drawings which include; process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), control schematics, panel layout diagrams, and interconnection diagrams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background and the ability to work productively independently and as a member of a highly efficient team. This position requires the successful candidate to be performance-driven, team-oriented and client-focused with strong written/verbal communication skills and an impressive work ethic.

Our ideal candidate will have the skills/ experiences such as:

* Instrumentation Classes, Water/Wastewater Process Control Classes, PLC/HMI coursework.
* Basic knowledge or course in power distribution
* Field experience with instrumentation/electrical site inspections
* Internship experience with Engineering/Consulting firm

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :

* Work with a team of professionals to help develop designs of control systems for water and wastewater facilities.
* Perform routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
* Prepare engineering specifications, drawings, and performs calculations in support of engineering activities involving control systems and possibly power distribution systems.
* Develop P&IDs, control schematics, panel layout diagrams, installation details, and plans.
* Assist in the development of PLC, operator interface and/or SCADA platform logic or graphical user interfaces.
* Review manufacturer information to assure compliance with specifications.
* Prepare reports, studies, and calculations.
* Complete tasks within budget and on schedule while communicating with the project team to complete work efficiently.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related electrical/science/engineering field
* Basic Knowledge of PLC controls and SCADA.
* Basic knowledge of IT and field networks.Knowledge of AutoCAD

Preferred Qualifications

* Knowledge of Instrumentation and PLC controls and SCADA network architecture
