Job Description

AIS is currently seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support various projects for our commercialclients as a .NET Developer! We're seeking technical professionals who can provide software development solutions for our customers to solve their business problems and technical challenges along with the ability to commute to various client sites throughout the DC metro area including downtown DC. This role requires the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

* Work in a team with other smart AIS employees using cutting edge technologies to solve challenging business problems.
* Build elegant, scalable, extensible, cost effective solutions with an eye towards innovation and agility.
* Utilize problem-solving and decision making skills to understand client pain points and to self- troubleshoot as challenges arise.
* Collaborate with members of the development team and project managers to deliver solutions that surpass client expectations while meeting deadlines and budgets.
* Largely work in an agile environment with participation in daily stand-ups/scrum with iterative development

Profile of Success:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and previous development exposure to develop software solutions.
* Must have the ability to obtain a minimum of a DoD Secret security clearance in order to gain access to client sites and networks.
* Ability to commute around the entire DC and/or Baltimore metro area to work onsite with clients as needed.
* Have an ability to thrive with considerations towards volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity.
* Strong desire and willingness to learn.

Other Desirable Skills:

* Acquired certifications of MCAD or MCP.

Client Site Locations: DC Metro Area (Downtown DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia)

* Consultants' assigned client sites are subject to change due to the consultative nature of our work. If you can be flexible with your commute tolerance, you will be afforded many opportunities. Flexibility is key, and something we value in our people.

Clearance and Background Check Requirement: The successful candidate must be eligible for a U.S. Government Secret/Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.. Ability to meet AIS, customer and/or government security screening and/or badging requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance, customer screening, badging and/or background check requirements may result revocation of an offer or employment action up to and including termination.

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
