Job Description

Position Description:

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, this position provides oversight of programming, leadership, case management, and supervision of all activities and program staff (Treatment Specialists) assigned to a Residential Treatment Program. Ensures that the residential milieu is functioning consistent with state licensure, national accreditation, crisis intervention training, best practices for trauma informed residential care and the individual service plan (ISP) of the client.

Responsible for on-call duties as assigned. Responsible for carrying, answering and maintaining agency cell phone. Completes Supervisor On Call Logs as assigned. Provides emergency crisis management/intervention including coverage assistance as needed. Manages the schedule, records all schedule changes, late arrivals etc. in a timely manner.

Responsible for managing day to day operations in the absence of the Program Manager under the guidance of Division Director of Residential Services.

A Master's degree and a current license in the state of Ohio (eg LPC, LPCC, LSW, or LISW) is required. Strong clinical skills including expertise in systemic family therapy, juvenile justice, crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions and substance abuse therapy. Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities.

Two to three years working with SED children and/or children with behavior problems and their families. One to two years supervisory/management experience in a residential treatment, social service, or mental health setting.
