Aon Is Looking For an Administrative Assistant

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Investment Consulting business group within Aon in Chicago, IL. As an Experienced Administrative Assistant, you will report directly to the Administrative Operations Manager and will be supporting up to 6-7 business partners.

Job Responsibilities:

* Prepare, produce, edit with formatting high quality client presentations and correspondence, graphic, while using MS Word, Excel and Power Point
* Adaptable and flexible; able to anticipate problems
* Take initiative, leverage network of resources to solve problems and proactively cascade knowledge to peer network
* Proactive - Self-directed prioritization of work and projects; demonstrate measurable progress
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Manage deliverables; organize and coordinate work flow, manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and projects
* Independently take action on requests on behalf of leader(s)
* May have external contact with clients or vendors
* Manage purchase order requisition process at the vendor and budget level
* Meeting scheduling; one time and recurring meeting setup and logistic coordination
* Contribute agenda topics/openly participate at unit meetings or other forums
* Maintain files, databases or SharePoint sites as appropriate
* Meeting and event coordination for larger meetings or meetings with leader audience
* Prepare expense reports
* Travel arrangements; including some multi-destination or international
* Knowledgeable of practice/business specific products or services and terminology
* Mail, faxing, and copying
* Strong teamwork skills
* Provide back-up support to other assistants
* Able to leverage experience to others
* Knowledgeable of practice/business specific products or services and terminology
* Shares work with others and delegates as appropriate
* Seeks additional responsibilities

Required Experience:

* 5+ years of Administrative Assistant experience
* Intermediate-level computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and other programs, as applicable
* Typing speed of 50 wpm with demonstrable accuracy
* Adobe, should be able to convert documents, make Pdf files, attach files, secure files, combine files
* Excellent customer service skills and exceptional attention to detail
* Superior writing skills-grammar, punctuation, spelling and proofreading
* Communicate effectively and professionally


* High School Diploma or equivalent
