The Pharmacy Intern will be responsible for the interpretation and data entry of moderately complex prescriptions, prior authorization processing, and troubleshooting adjudication issues.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

* Verifies member information and inputs data for prior authorization pharmacists and/or medical directors
* Processes prior authorization requests from physicians' offices and ensures compliance with all Medicare, regulatory and accreditation requirements; informs relevant parties of all prior authorization determinations
* Responsible for the identification and data entry of pharmacy prior authorization requests.
* Refers cases requiring clinical review to a prior authorization pharmacist and/or medical director
* Aid in analyzing reporting data


* Must be currently enrolled in a Pharmacy program at an accredited college or university
* Requires an active, unrestricted pharmacy Intern license in the state of Ohio
* Prior experience working in a pharmacy retail setting strongly preferred
* Ability to work in the Mason, OH office during the school year.
* Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week

PLEASE NOTE: This internship has part-time hours during the school year with 20 hours. The intern must have the ability to commute into the Mason, OH office. Remote work will not be allowed.
