As a Veterinary University Education Development Specialist you will...

* Develop and deliver Patterson Veterinary University (PVU) content both in-person and virtually.
* Consult with sales team and customers on best business practices.
* Create and deliver speaking functions with relevant educational offerings that best promote PVU and Patterson.
* Write articles and other content for Insight and Patterson's periodicals.
* Coordinate and internally promotes the PVU educational offerings.
* This role is remote and can be located anywhere within the U.S.


* Develop and regularly update educational courses for PVU In-Person and PVU-Virtual Campus; maintain relevant and current content.
* Work with Creative Services for the development of educational materials needed for all PVU courses.
* Communicate the value of PVU to the sales teams.
* Maintain the calendar of PVU offerings; dates, locations, points of contact, and instructor schedules.
* Maintain the PVU Virtual Campus and act as a liaison between Patterson and our external LMS.
* Be the communication liaison for virtual campus content contributors - forward emails, channel phone calls, process check requests and share course feedback.
* Develop and deliver customer seminars that promote Patterson as a value-added company.
* Work in conjunction with the Sales Trainer to develop and deliver internal seminars that promote the Patterson sales force as a valuable resource in the field.
* Write management-related articles regularly for Insight and other Patterson journals.
* Handle administrative duties associated with the Practice Management Position including order office supplies, maintain journal subscriptions, maintaining necessary file systems, booking travel, submitting expense reports, etc.
* Creates and leads the development work collaboratively with the Sales Education Manager to deliver internal sales training seminars tying in PVU to the Patterson sales force new hires and ongoing training efforts.
* Contribute to Practice Support Services (industry consulting engagements), Speaking Services (client speaking engagements) and other for-fee speaking events as defined in the annual business plan.
* Other Veterinary University duties as assigned by Sr. Director, Business Development.



* CVPM - Certified Veterinary Practice Manager.
* Four-year college degree preferred.

Relevant Veterinary Education Specialist Work Experience

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
* 3 - 5 years in veterinary practice management.
* Experience in management consulting.
* Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects.
* Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and accounting software.
* Product knowledge and understanding of veterinary distribution a plus.

Preferred Veterinary Education Specialist Experience:

* Experience with Learning Management Systems.
* Experience with QuickBooks.
