As part of the Engineering Enablement organization, this entry-level CAD Engineer develops and supports industry leading design methodologies for Analog, RF, and Mixed-Signal designs, with emphasis on schematic design, analog simulation, parasitic extraction and simulation; and writes scripts and software utilities to enhance and automate these design flows.

Additional responsibilities:

* Manages job scheduler policies of local compute server.
* Provide technical CAD support for ADI design community, including but not limited to revision control issues.
* Monitor license usage of CAD tools, write application notes and document ADI's analog/mixed-signal CAD flows.
* As EDA vendors release new versions of analog/mixed-signal CAD tools currently being used in ADI, evaluate the new features and ensure their proper usage by ADI design community.
* Work closely with the EDA software vendors to resolve tool bugs and drive new feature additions.
* Write detailed documentation for all development and implementation work in a manner that provides for knowledge transition to other resources and a guide for on-going support.

Qualifications:

* BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with strong IC design and semiconductor background required
* Understanding of analog/mixed-signal CMOS IC design, devices, and nanometer process technologies
* Solid understanding of analog/mixed-signal simulation tools
* Knowledge of parasitic extraction tools
* Proficiency in scripting programing languages; such as perl, python, bash, tcl
* Familiarity with revision control systems, issue tracking, and collaboration tools
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and English proficiency
* Self-motivated and team oriented
