Description of Position:

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer Intern to design, develop and deploy software solutions to improve operational yields across our semiconductor manufacturing facilities.

Software Engineer Intern responsibilities include gathering user requirements, defining system functionality and writing code in various languages. Our ideal candidates are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment.

Ultimately, the role of the Software Engineer Intern is to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design.

Keys to success will be your ability to understand the manufacturing process and be highly analytical and good in problem solving skills. You will be required to design new systems, in addition to, investigate legacy systems using only your knowledge of computer architecture. This position reports to the Manager of Fab Automation.

Responsibilities:

* Work with Manufacturing IT and engineering groups to understand their needs and develop and deliver complete solutions
* Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
* Document and present solutions to management and customers
* Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
* Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
* Write well-designed, testable code
* Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
* Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
* Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
* Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
* Comply with project plans and industry standards

Requirements / Qualifications:

* Proficiency in Front-End (GUI) and Back-End Coding and Design
* Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithm design, and complexity analysis
* Experience with Relational Databases (MS-SQL, Oracle, or Postgres)
* Experience developing services for a microservice architecture
* Experience translating design mockups and prototypes into working application designs
* Solid understanding of computer networks and how to trace problems
* Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment
