Job Description

IONX, LLC, an Amsted Rail Company, is a leading provider of Industrial Internet of Things (IOT) systems for supply chain visibility and condition monitoring. Our railroad, chemical and mining customers use our solutions to monitor remote unpowered assets operating in harsh or hazardous environments.

We have an immediate opening for Technical Project Lead position in West Chester, PA. This is a technical/lead role supporting our sister-company ConMet in the heavy-duty truck and trailer industry. The position provides an opportunity to test cutting edge Industrial IOT technology for monitoring remote, unpowered assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead all product development efforts in support of ConMet Smart Hub Sensor.

  • Implement stage gate process to coordinate development of wireless low power industrial IoT condition monitoring sensor for truck industry.
  • Responsible for development and meeting timeline schedule.
  • Work with hardware engineers and operations manager to coordinate the design, development and production of sensors.
  • Work with hardware engineers to coordinate execution of test and verification processes.
  • Work with operations manager to coordinate factory build processes for rapid prototype and production.
  • Act as technical liaison to ConMet; conduct periodic status meetings with ConMet.
  • Position reports to General Manager of IONX.

The successful candidate should have the following minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with the execution of stage gate product development process allowing for concurrent scenarios of rapid deployment, agile, sprint and waterfall development cycles.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Background in Hardware design a plus.
  • BS in Engineering preferable, or closely related field.
  • PMP certificate, CAPM certificate a plus.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
