Job Description:

We are seeking a Marketing & Social Media Intern based in Washington DC. As the intern you will provide marketing support and research related to specific testing products, companies, and countries.  This position requires great writing skills, creativity, and web page savviness. The intern should be knowledgeable of social media, e.g., Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and has experience writing web content and blogs. The ideal person for this role knows SEO, has experience with writing e-newsletters, can handle multiple tasks, has high attention to detail and is able to do research and learn quickly. The intern’sresponsibilities will include the following,


  • Insert new content into new website
  • Update/write content for new website
  • Assist us in creating online and social media posts for marketing English language testing and learning products
  • Manage our content for Facebook page and Twitter accounts for testing services and products
  • Research social media / communications posting/sharing/analytics/reporting tools and best practices and make recommendations for improvements
  • Create strategies that will Increase our search engine optimization
  • Performing other tasks as may be required from time to time


  • Communications, English, marketing, or related majors preferred
  • Superior and demonstrated writing skills
  • Design, social media management, SEO, and/or e-mail listserv management experience preferred
  • Be a quick learner, work independently, and have strong attention to detail
  • Computer savvy
  • Commitment of twenty-four to forty hours a week for three months or longer (during standard business hours)
