Overview

AMERISAFE is seeking an Accounting Intern, responsible for accurate and timely data entry and reporting. The Accounting Intern will have the opportunity to learn about the industry and AMERISAFE product and processes. The ideal candidate will be a junior or senior in college, working toward a bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.

Responsibilities

* Accurate and timely data entry
* Outbound and inbound professional calling
* Prepares professional written communications to customers and others
* Provides weekly reports
* Monitors activities as requested
* Provides timely communications as directed to key stakeholders and governmental agencies as requested
* Conducts a variety of business activities within the assigned department
* Learns the industry and the AMERISAFE product and processes

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

* High school diploma or GED required
* Must be currently enrolled in advanced education program, preferably a collegiate junior or senior status
* Professional written and verbal communication skills
* World class customer experience attitude
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and basic computer proficiency
* Accurate typing and data entry
* Commitment to the mission and success of AMERISAFE
