Job Description

Ameriprise Technology is a team of professionals who provide Technology solutions across the company. Technology provides corporate computing, network infrastructure support and technology to clients, advisors and employees. The Ameriprise Financial Technology Intern Program offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of the company by delivering technology solutions that support the evolving needs of our clients, advisors, and employees. During the program participating individuals will gain exposure to a broad range of Technology initiatives, along with the chance to gain direct experience in the field of technology.


Complete an internship in the selected business unit. Assignments will be based on business need and participant interest. Program participants are encouraged to gain a broad technology background that will prepare them for a variety of future opportunities. Incumbent will gain direct professional experience and a broad understanding of the Technology organization by performing a variety of tasks and projects in the following groups: Technology Infrastructure and Operations, Application and Web Development, Information Security, Client Technology Experience, Technology Architecture, Business Analytics, Technology Operations. Specific duties vary according to position assumed, assigned projects, and supervisor discretion.

Responsibilities may include defining business requirements, developing user acceptance test plans, developing SOW and cost benefit analysis, developing documents, test and modify new existing code, developing working knowledge of systems and processes.

Required Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED required.
* 0-1 years of relevant experience required.
* Junior year in college with a Computer Science, Computer Information Science, or MIS major.
* GPA of 3.0 or above.
