Job Description

Bluefield State College (BSC) delivers career-focused, affordable higher education programs to a student body that includes many first-generation, low income, and/or nontraditional students. This three-year initiative will build upon the dialogue and current service partnerships that are already in place between the college and their community of stakeholders. The capacity-building activities proposed in this initiative will place VISTA's in positions to develop new and expand anti-poverty programs to increase scholarship donations and sustainability at the local level. New infrastructure and organizational capacity created by this Project will allow BSCF to provide more scholarships and funding to Bluefield State College students. This support will increase the success of southern West Virginian's in the labor force by providing opportunities to obtain bachelor degrees in impoverished communities.
