Job Description

Family Service of RI seeks a diverse team of AmeriCorps members to work as Attendance Improvement Mentors in two Providence Schools. FSRI AmeriCorps members will be trained on the evidenced-based Check and Connect program, Walking School Bus and Playworks. Each mentor will be assigned a caseload of ten to twenty students throughout the year and provide support and mentoring as it relates to attendance, academic improvement, social emotional behavior, family engagement and support to school staff. Members will participate in ongoing training, have opportunities for team-building and reflection, and will be fully supported by Family Service of RI to ensure success
