Job Description

The summer associates will assist with community outreach, volunteer coordinating, food delivery logistics and operations, marketing support for community outreach, customer service, and grant writing and management. Each associate will report to the manager of the area in which they are assigned to serve, with assistance of the volunteer coordinator and executive director. With their help, we aim to reach our self-sustaining goal and make a significant impact addressing hunger insecurity. Summer Associates' activities include: Supporting in the Top Box Foods team's general efforts to get more food into the community by handling tasks as necessary.Working with our community outreach team to develop and test ways to reach the maximum number of people in the communities we serve as well as to secure new partnerships and raise the profile of Top Box Foods by staffing tables at events in the community. Maintaining and tracking relationships with our community partners and customers by recording information in Top Box Foods' CRM system. Creating marketing materials and social media strategy and content to reach more beneficiaries.Working with our volunteer coordinator to recruit, train and manage volunteers. Working with our grant writer to source, write and track grants. Working with our supply chain manager to support logistical operations in the warehouse, at food repacks and on delivery day.AmeriCorps Vista Summer Associate program living allowance of $990 - $1,026/month. Optional $1230.69 educational stipend via the Eli Segal Education Award or post-service cash stipend of $184.95.
