Job Description

The American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) in New York City is one of the premier science, research and cultural institutions in the country. The American Museum of Natural History is seeking an Internship Assistant to work with the MEEP and Saltz Internship programs.

The program provides on-the-job training and exposure to science and museum related careers. The Internship Assistant works closely with the Manager of Internships and Youth Community to coordinate, implement, and oversee the daily activities for program interns. The Assistant will set up and break down necessary materials for each day, assist in the review and approval of intern tours, and read and comment on intern journal entries. In addition, the Assistant will be responsible for troubleshooting when issues arise, and responding to intern questions and concerns.

The position is a part time, summer position. The Assistant works 25 hours a week (Monday-Sunday) for 11 weeks during the summer.
