Actuarial professionals with expertise in quantitative analysis, insurance pricing, loss reserving, and risk quantification are integral to AIG's success. We have dedicated Finance Actuaries that play a critical role in assessing the reserve need and thereby ensuring strong financial condition of AIG's insurance operating companies around the world. Our Portfolio Analytics and Pricing Actuaries focus on directly supporting AIG's businesses and are responsible for technical pricing, product development analytics, performance monitoring and measurement, as well as assessment of reinsurance needs. This team also works with marketing, operations, and financial management to achieve AIG's business objectives.

This role will be supporting the General Insurance Actuarial group providing data and reporting solutions to Actuaries and other business teams across organization. The Assistant Manager will closely work with Actuaries, pricing model owners, and senior leadership to identify, understand and process key Actuarial data elements, design and develop business rules or logic to consolidate data from multiple sources and translate the data into structured management, operational and analytical reports. This role will be responsible for all product lines in the commercial space i.e. Property, Casualty, Specialty and FL.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, implement and provide ongoing maintenance on key reporting solutions across Actuarial group and key business partners.
* Perform validations and incorporate robust data quality and integrity measures to data and reporting processes.
* Data extraction from various DB sources through programs to read, write and update the database efficiently.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to highlight and enrich the data linkages between the different processes.
* Develop various dashboards for senior management to showcase the data insights effectively in timely manner.
* Stakeholder management - conducts briefings and participates in business requirements gathering meetings and business insights sessions with key stakeholders.
* Applies experience to anticipate and be proactive in addressing potential issues before they become problems.
* Participates on high impact departmental and cross-functional teams on process standardization, process improvements, validation, and the acquisition, customization, and integration of new tools and technologies.
* Coaches and leads junior data analyst(s) on the design and development of reports.

What we are looking for:

* Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience of using SAS or Python & SQL for data analysis or data science projects.
* Very good understanding of reporting, analytical and data management methods.
* Strong problem-solving ability - Candidate needs to exhibit structured thinking, analytical skills and process orientation.
* Able to process large datasets using tools like SAS, SQL & Python to analyze and create insights.
* Able to conduct strong quality control analyses to ensure data quality and integrity.
* Able to create dashboards on Power BI/Tableau or other web-based platforms will be an added advantage.
* Strong sense of responsibility, good communication skill and willingness to learn.
* Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated success to multi-task and deliver viable solutions in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
* Ability to work with virtual teams and different time zones is a plus.
* Positive and collaborative attitude.
* P&C Insurance Industry experience is a plus.
