OverviewThe American Institutes for Research (AIR) is one of the leading behavioral and social science research organizations in the world. It is the goal that drives us. AIR's Human Resources department is seeking a motivated and energetic Recruiting Intern to work in our Arlington, VA (Crystal City) office. This position will allow the selected intern to gain real world experience while applying their classroom knowledge in the areas of recruiting and human resources. This intern should also have the passion to learn about the overall functions within a Human Resources Department. ResponsibilitiesThe selected intern will work closely with the HR recruiting team, specifically the Recruiting Project Associate and the University Relations/Intern Coordinator, on existing and emerging projects to provide support and event execution. Primary responsibilities include: - Assist in coordinating AIR's Summer Intern Program - Prepare recruitment related reports - Maintain the recruitment inbox and respond to candidate inquiries - Prepare training materials and update AIR's recruitment process guide - Assist with vendor management and recruitment contract renewal - Greet candidates in our Crystal City office while ensuring a positive candidate experience. - Ad hoc recruitment projects and events Qualifications- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in the field of Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Organizational Development, or other related fields of study - Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. - Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner. - Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as a member of a team. - High level of maturity and ability to work with sensitive personnel information. - Experience or interest in an HR career - Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, specifically iCIMS, preferred. - Interest in Event Planning - a plus.
