Job Description

American Heritage Credit Union, a $2.3+ billion credit union, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Junior Financial Analyst. This position will oversee and support the Enterprise Risk Management compliance representatives. Fulfill American Heritage Bank Secrecy Act duties, specifically reviewing and approving Currency Transaction Reports (CTR's) and approved Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR's), which have strict reporting deadlines required by federal regulations. Ensure that American Heritage remains compliant with regulations to avoid fines and sanctions.

Responsibilities Include:

* Review and approve Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR's) with FinCen.
* Monitor and approve filings and/or closing of continuous SAR's to ensure accuracy and timely filings.
* Review Currency Transaction Reports (CTR's) for accuracy and ensure timeliness with regulations.
* Oversee deposit fraud and inactive alerts in fraud detection software.
* Oversee due diligence review of High Risk Accounts in the BSA module.
* Assist with conducting research and documenting complex cases related to SAR's.
* Identify additional Customer Identification Procedure (CIP) questions relating to risk.
* Remain knowledgeable in areas of new fraud techniques and security developments for counteracting fraud by actively participating in Fraud Awareness Seminars, maintaining compliance related publications, and networking with risk management professionals from other financial institutions.
* Assist with risk assessments and work with department heads to understand process, draft flowchart, and incorporate into software application.
* Maintain a highly motivated, well trained staff and evaluate job performance to ensure quality of work and service to members and staff.

Requirements Include:

* Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
* Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and Regulation CC to support staff and make decisions relating to deposit transactions.
* ACAMS certification required.
* A two-year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
