Job Description

We're looking for Quality Engineer in Test Automation who is passionate about coding to help us test our e-commerce platform. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to solve problems across the full-stack as we continue to test and push new features in fast paced environment. Tester also needs to understand the business requirements and functionality of various applications. Our project teams work in agile environment running two-week sprints that culminate with demos of features in progress. Must be a quick learner with logical/analytical reasoning skills. Must be adaptable to work in stressful environments. You will work alongside engineers from onsite & offshore and work hands-on with the code from week one.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Work with business analysts and developers to understand the requirements thoroughly, under the guidance of Test Lead.
* Create test plans and develop automation test scripts based on business and technical requirements
* Document test script results in Test Management Tool
* Troubleshoot issues and analyze logs/middleware components. Document, track and validate defects in bug tracking system with clear summary, screenshots, expected behavior, actual behavior and additional details
* Work with source control system on regular basis to resolve conflicts, rebase and merge code changes
* Collaborate with cross functional teams, onsite and offshore team members
* Involve during functional, end-to-end and regression testing

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in fields related to Computer science and engineering

* 2+ years of school/intern experience using Java and Javascript for software development or automation
* Experience in multiple operating systems, including Windows and Linux and proficient with command-line interface
* Hands-on experience in using version control systems (Git)
* Knowledge of software libraries
* Strong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills
* Strong verbal and written communication
* Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements
* Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed
* Knowledge of writing and executing SQL queries and ability to understand Data model architecture

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* 1+ years of experience in Software Test Automation
* 1+ years of experience in Agile software development methodology, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
* 1+ years of experience in working in e-commerce platform.
* Knowledge of APIs including calling SOAP and REST end points using JSON and XML Data
* Knowledge on any CI/CD tool like Jenkins or Bamboo
* Hands-on experience in Selenium and any BDD automation framework model like Jbehave or Cucumber
