Regional Field Organizer

The ACLU of Massachusetts (“ACLUM”) seeks a full-time Regional Field Organizer to help safeguard and promote civil rights and civil liberties in the Commonwealth, and advance the organization’s public advocacy objectives. The focus of this role is to expand ACLUM’s presence and impact in Southern Massachusetts; develop and maintain relationships with elected officials, community partners, and other stakeholders in the region; educate the public about ACLUM priority issue areas; organize and mobilize different populations to take action; work in coalition with partners to pass policy reforms at the state and local levels; and speak as an ACLUM ambassador in coalitions and at public events. This position will report to the Field Director, work deeply (though not exclusively) in areas including Bristol, Plymouth and Barnstable counties, and collaborate closely with other ACLUM colleagues in Boston and Western Massachusetts on a variety of advocacy campaigns and projects.
Travel within the state and flexibility to accommodate work during evenings and weekends when warranted are key requirements for this role.
