Job Description

Ideally the intern should be a BA or MA student with an interest in population health and community coalition development. Must have proficient computer skills; video production and graphic design a plus. Excellent organizational, verbal and listening skills are required. Must be able to work with a team both face to face and remote. Experience working with or volunteering for a non-profit is a plus. All Interns Must meet the following requirements:

* Full-time student, If you are an undergraduate student you have completed your freshman year of college;
* Have a minimum of a B average (cumulative 3.0 on 4.0 scale);
* Plan to continue their education in the following term/semester
* Note: an internship assignment may coincide with the student's last term/trimester, but student must disengage upon graduation.

The following information must be submitted upon application:

* Resume
* Two references from academic/professional sources addressing the student's credentials based on the internship's skill requirements
* Recent transcript attesting to their GPA and standing as a full-time student
* Unpaid interns must also provide documentation of the participation in a bona-fide college intern program under which their ACS internship either qualifies them to receive course credit OR fulfills a graduation/coursework requirement.

The intern will play an integral role in developing, nurturing, and maintaining a statewide coalition of community organizations in activities designed toward increasing the HPV vaccine completion rate in Michigan. 1. Assist in engaging stakeholders in developing and maintaining a statewide HPV vaccination coalition. 2. Assist in HPV campaign development and activity. 3. Assist in coordinating and convening steering committee and workgroup coalition meetings. 4. Assist in recruiting and utilizing ACS HPV Champions. 5. Communicate with coalition members on activities, topics, and meetings of the group. 6. Develop and maintain a database capturing the goings-on of the coalition. 7. Compile links to literature and materials on topics around HPV and increasing vaccination rates. 8. Assist in updating facts sheets and other integration slide decks and template materials. 9. Collaborate with other organizations and ACS departments to gather feedback, participate in meetings, planning sessions and office activities 10. Other duties as assigned which may include assisting in event planning, meeting preparation, document preparation.
