Job Description

The Corporate International Tax Senior Manager will collaborate with corporate headquarters tax team and foreign accounting office teams to manage U.S. international and foreign tax compliance and projects. This position will have extensive contact with multiple levels of tax professionals, including external advisors, and non-tax personnel in other corporate departments.

  • Review monthly foreign tax account reconciliations
  • Review and monitor monthly foreign income tax accruals
  • Review U.S. international tax forms such as Forms 5471 and Form 1118
  • Review annual income tax, estimated payments and other tax returns for our foreign operations
  • Respond to requests from other departments timely and effectively
  • Research international tax issues related to operations in foreign countries related to the aviation industry
  • Identify and implement process improvements to gain efficiencies in the international tax compliance process
  • Provide quarterly support for ASC 740 analysis and documentation
  • Serves as an active and valued business partner in regard to tax matters
  • Applies professional-level technical knowledge, skills, experience, and judgment to accomplish results
  • Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and procedures
  • Plays a supporting role on transactions, projects, controversies, regulatory developments and legislative analysis depending on the circumstances and skill set required
  • Carries out assignments received in the form of objectives and works with supervisor in developing goals and action steps that will meet those objectives
  • Support Director of International Tax on a variety of U.S. international and foreign country tax matters, including foreign income tax audits and document requests from foreign accounting offices
  • Assist in other tax related projects as requested by tax management
  • Assist in providing FATCA related documentation and monitor FATCA related issues
  • Assist in BEPS related requirements and compliance

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting related field. Masters in Taxation and CPA or CPA candidate is preferred
  • 6 to 8 years of progressive income tax experience, minimum of  5 years of international tax experience; Mix of public accounting and industry is preferred
  • Strong technical, project and organizational skills, with a focus on details
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and PC skills, especially MS Excel; SAP and One Source experience is preferred
  • Experience with foreign branch operations is desired
  • Jurisdiction familiarity with Europe and Asia
  • Knowledge of foreign income inclusions such as Subpart F and foreign tax credits
  • Ability to concurrently handle multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to successfully interact with professionals within the tax department and from other areas of the company
