Job Description

The Shared Development team is looking for a highly skilled and exceptional Manager of Applications Development who would lead design, implement and support a suite of applications that will be used across the Operation Technology area. The candidate will take ownership to remove roadblocks, cultivate relationships, and effectively communicate across multiple vendors, business units, managed service providers, architecture and infrastructure teams.


The Shared Development team is leading the DevOps effort in our organization. The Manager in this capacity will be responsible for leading, managing, mentoring, and evolving an extremely talented team to help deliver game changing solutions.


The manager will oversee vendors, as required and track/review vendor deliverables. The Manager will be responsible for team/project budget; report budget status; budget forecasting, budget to actual variance reporting and acts as liaison with Controller(s), as appropriate.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience in Application Delivery a must
  • Previous experience with Budgeting and related financial tasks
  • Provide leadership over a variety of heterogeneous technologies from .Net and J2EE
  • Encourages an environment of sharing and team work among the team
  • Lead, influence and establish emerging technology standards
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to communicate and collaborate with different audiences
  • Ability to effectively lead staff under potentially high stress and challenging situations
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
  • Be available to manage production issues and off-hours support, communication and coordination
  • Travel as required
  • ITIL/Agile/Scrum certifications preferred
  • Understanding of current technologies in relevant areas of expertise
  • Explores and stays abreast of new technologies that can bring value to the organization
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in all situations

Desired Skills

Preference would be given to candidates that have one or more of the following skills

  • Experience in leading remote teams (both onshore and offshore)
  • Experience in Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment
  • Experience with Automated Testing
  • Experience maintaining project budget; report budget status and budget forecasting
  • Strong Time Management skills. Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
