Job Description

Develops business by selling a broad range of cargo products in person and over the phone including general freight, expedite, temperature control and PPS services within an assigned geographic area. Responsible for revenue achievement from a portfolio of accounts, building relationships and calling on customers on a consistent basis. Works in coordination with the Regional Manager and Sales Support representative as well as other groups within the cargo organization to implement programs and meet objectives. Prepares correspondence, presentations and submits pricing and space allocations to gain business. Reports sales activities, new and lost business, trends, etc.

Job Qualifications

  • Requires excellent sales, administrative, organization, communication, and negotiating skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and short deadline situations
  • Prior experience in direct face-to-face cargo selling strongly preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required
  • PC and SABRE experience highly desired
  • College degree preferred
  • Travel required-Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
