Job Description

About the Position

The Innovation Intern will play a key role in helping Ameren's Innovation Initiative achieve its strategic goals. This position will directly support the Innovation Portfolio Management Office (PMO) within Ameren's Corporate Strategy & Innovation group. The intern will gain valuable work experience with various aspects of Research & Development, Product Development, Innovation, and Corporate Strategy.

This is a Jan - Dec 2020 opening. Full-time during the semester is preferred but not required.

Key responsibilities include:

* Conduct research to help value markets for prospective products or services, evaluate new technologies, and provide insights into market trends.
* Coordinate activities across multiple business groups to support Ameren's Accelerator Program
* Provide project management support for early-stage innovation prototype and pilot projects
* Develop and deliver presentations, whitepapers and summary reports to inform and engage executive leadership
* Complete other assignments as required by initiative leadership

Qualifications

* Must be a current student pursuing a degree in a Business program or MBA from an accredited college or university is required
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
* Cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required but a 3.0 or higher is preferred

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Strong written, oral and presentation skills. Exceptional financial acumen. Ability to manage multiple analyses simultaneously, balance details against "big picture" issues and think critically to solve complex problems. Ability to communicate well with others and comfortable working on ambiguous team projects.
