About the Position

This is an entry level programmer position. We are looking for December 2016 Computer Science graduates.

The Applications Development Specialist I is primarily responsible for programming, implementing and maintaining web based computer information systems that provide support for functions within the Company.

Key responsibilities include:

Under direct supervision and guidance, assists in the development of cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications.

Program/develop, implement, and maintain computer information systems to provide support for a variety of functions within the company relating to confidential and non-confidential matters.

Ensure data integrity and successful backup and restoration ability, monitor assigned systems and exercise good project management skills to ensure that changes are successfully implemented and monitored for effect.

May represent the department in various meetings.

Develops applications in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices.

Monitors and reports to management on project status and outstanding issues.

Maintain a high degree of integrity to safeguard company position on confidential matters.


Associate's Degree in a computer field or Engineering with at least 30 credit hours of computer related course work or pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in a computer field or Engineering with an expected graduation date within the next 6 months. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent computer-related discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred. Relevant computer programming experience is preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Working knowledge of jQuery, JavaScript, XML, MVC, SQL and Oracle DBMS

Working knowledge or experience with .NET Frameworks, ASP.NET, C#

Must be able to manage multiple priorities with a high incidence of changing requirements, analyze and clarify ambiguous requests/instructions, meet aggressive deadlines and demanding work schedules, and manage large workloads.

This position may be required to work off-hours for project needs, support and systems implementations.

May also be required to carry cell phone to provide the required system support (includes 24x7x365).

* Salary depends upon individual's credentials and position market pay level.
