Job Description

It's Day One in Amazon Ads - if you want to be part of disrupting the existing advertising and big data analytics industries, look no further! Within the Amazon Advertising Platform, the Measurement and Data Science (MADS) team owns the measurement, data warehousing, and reporting platforms; develops measurement and analytics products; and drives platform scientific and algorithm development.We are looking for passionate, results oriented, and innovative engineers to develop the measurement and machine learning products that provide rich insight into advertising performance using Amazon's unique data.

You will be a self-starter with strong design and coding skills who loves shipping great product. You will thrive on implementing creative approaches and dealing with the intricate complexity of petabyte scale advertising(over 10B new events per day), our rich retail data, and the needs of our diverse advertiser base. You will challenge yourself and others to constantly come up with better solutions that disrupt the direction of the entire industry.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related technical discipline

Preferred Qualifications

Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills (C/C++ and/or Java preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform) Experience in machine learning and optimization mathematics (linear programming, nonlinear optimization) Knowledge of Python, Scala, or other scripting languages a plus Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly Previous technical internship(s) preferred Graduate degree a plus
