Major Responsibilities:

Summary of the role

Design and implement a web-based tool for efficiently comparing build file changes between different major product release versions and environments during the WebLogic/Java software releasing cycle.

Main responsibilities

Amadeus Selling Platform is the main e-commerce business solution used by thousands of Travel Agencies worldwide. The most advanced components of the platform use WebLogic/J2EE infrastructure, with several major releases and services packs throughout the year.
Preparation and validation of each new release and service pack requires an intensive, error-prone process of comparison between previous version application files as well as WebLogic configuration and system files, in several different test and production environments.
The goal of this internship is to organize and automate as much as possible this build comparison process to ensure a high level of efficiency and quality between each major release, service pack and technical load.
In collaboration with Amadeus JCP (Java Common Platform) Software Releasing experts and Software Distribution Services team, the build comparison processes will be defined and structured to cover different scenarios according to the step in the software releasing cycle.
The final product will be a web-based JCP Releasing Build Comparison Tool which will include an intuitive user-interface for choosing different releasing steps and generating the appropriate comparison scenario in a web dashboard, including all required WebLogic application and configuration files, while excluding specific compiled code and binaries.
