Job Description

An alternative healthcare practice that provides chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage therapy is hiring a Part-Time Office Administrator. Located in the heart of the financial district, our goal is to empower our patients to be active participants in their own well-being through education and high quality care. Our beautiful and well-appointed office strives to promote healing in a calm and caring atmosphere catering to each patient's specific needs. With 6 specialist, our busy office is looking for a welcoming, dependable, and detailed-orientated individual with ability to interact with many different types of personalities (patients, staff, and insurance company representatives) to join our close-knit team.

Part-time needed.
Billing experience is a plus but not required

Compensation: Based on experience

Duties included but not limited to:
- Managing patients' accounts and questions (medical letters, visit limits, balance, insurance, etc.)
- Insurance verifications/authorizations
- Answering telephones and scheduling appointments
- Opening and Closing procedures
- Preparing, filling, and managing patients' charts
- Collecting copayments, coinsurances, and deductibles at time of service
- Inventory and ordering office supplies
- Manage and report employee hours
- Month end report
- Training new employees
- Manage day to day office procedures and flow
- Submitting medical claims via Office Ally
- Submitting paper claims to Work Comp carriers/attorneys
- Posting insurance payments using a medical billing software
- Preparing weekly deposits for both practitioners (chiropractic & acupuncture)
- Conducting monthly Aging Report/reconciliation of all accounts
- Follow-up calls to insurance companies on unpaid accounts
- Sending out patient bills
