You will also work closely with the Software Design teams to define the features needed in the software, to support next generation features and protocols in these blocks. In this position, you will be expected to use a mix of standard industry tools in conjunction with in-house tools with focus on RTL, netlisting, verification and timing closure tasks.

You should also enjoy working closely with circuit designers, coders/design automation engineers, customers, and colleagues alike. The position has excellent opportunity for technical and professional growth in a fun and supportive work environment.

The successful candidate's minimum qualifications will include the following:
MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Solid foundation in two or more of hardware design, verification and timing analysis Practical programming experience with languages such as Perl, Python and Tcl Technical leadership with ability to self-manage project deliverables Good communicator and presentation skills This job requires an existing background in electronics, programmable logic devices and hardware design. About Altera Corporation

Altera Corporation (Altera) is a supplier of programmable semiconductors and related products. Altera designs, manufactures, and markets programmable logic devices (PLDs), hardcopy application- specific integrated circuits (ASICs), pre-defined design building blocks, known as intellectual property (IP) cores, and associated development tools. PLDs, which consist of field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and complex programmable logic devices (CPLDs), are standard semiconductor integrated circuits, or chips, that its customers program to perform desired logic functions in their electronic systems. Its HardCopy enables its customer to transition from high-density FPGAs to non-programmable implementations for volume production. IP cores can be licensed by customers to add standard functions to their PLD designs. (Source: 10-K)
