Alta Equipment Company is seeking a full-time Junior Business Analyst for our Construction Equipment Group at our New Hudson, MI location.

As a Junior Business Analyst, your day-to-day work will help other employees make better business decisions by providing clear, detailed metrics to groups and individuals across the organization. These projects can take many different forms and will require you to often navigate through ambiguous requirements. By adding context and clarity to a business unit's data, you will directly impact their continued success by facilitating their ability to monitor and evaluate their group. You will continually adjust, improve, and troubleshoot our reporting to maximize its potential impact. The additional responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

* Developing reports based off KPI's for each of our business segments
* Evaluate process and continuous improvement
* Meet business requirements through querying of large datasets, transforming them into meaningful reporting deliverables
* Maintain and update existing suite of reporting
* Build strong relationships with business partners and end users
* Handle administrative duties with CRM
* Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
* Performs other duties as assigned
* Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time


* BA/BS degree with Finance or Accounting background, or equivalent
* Must be a numbers driven individual
* Must be able to operate basic office equipment
* Computer Skills - familiarity with CRM databases (Microsoft Dynamics), proficient with business intelligence reporting (Power BI), advanced skills in Excel, proficient with Word & Outlook, ERP systems
* Language Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
* Mathematical Skills - Intermediate: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
* Reasoning Ability - High: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

* Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use sit, use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will reach with hands; Occasionally will stand, walk,climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell.
* Vision: No special vision requirements.
* Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 10 pounds; Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 50 pounds
* Work Environment: Regularly will work near moving mechanical parts, exposed to fumes or airborne particles
