ALSTOM Grid - Network Management Solutions, the leader in providing software and services to the Electric Utility Industry has an opening for a Power System Engineer Intern in its Redmond, WA location. As Power System Engineer Intern, Assist with software R&D of SyncroPhasor applications as part of our Wide-Area Monitoring Systems (WAMS)/Online Stability Solutions (OSS) products, as well as support data mining and engineering analysis of PMU data for existing synchrophasor applications customers.

Under project lead or senior engineer's supervision:
- Explore new analytics and data mining techniques for SynchroPhasor applications.
- Implement functionality into Alstom's SynchroPhasor applications.

Perform data analysis and develop reports in Matlab All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.

General Qualifications:

Strong Knowledge on Power Systems.
Prior knowledge and experience with SyncroPhasor Technology and PMU protocols.
Strong programming skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Signal processing knowledge is a plus.

B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required (M.S. degree in preferred)

0 - 1 years of work experience in the related area

Key Competencies
- Familiarity with MATLAB
- Skills in C/C , C#, Java, Oracle
- Competency with Visual Studio
