Job Description

Alpine County USD, Woodfords, CA Only 35 minutes from SLT and 15 minutes from NV. Regular School Year (August - June) 

• Preschool Teacher (Full Time) - Instruct children (normally up to 5 years of age) in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school in preschool, day care center, or other child development facility. May be required to hold State certification.

• Tutor (Part Time) – Help both struggling and gifted students reach their full potential by supplementing the instruction they receive in class and guiding them toward study practices and aides that can help them excel. Tutors work with individual students one-on-one, though we occasionally organize group activities for students who are studying the same material.

• Early Childhood Education Aide (Part Time) - perform some or all of the following duties: Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children. Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts.

• Speech/Language/Hearing Specialist (Part Time) – work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.

• Walk On Coach (Part Time) – Under the general supervision of a site administrator, as coordinated by the Head Coach, assume the responsibility for coaching/training student athletes in the designated sport.

• Special Education Aide (Part Time) – Include physically assisting students with tasks like eating, using the bathroom, riding the bus and moving from one classroom to another. They may also clean the classroom and prepare demonstrations or visual aids for specific lessons.

Substitute Pool:

• School Bus Driver – Pick up students at stops along established routes and drop them off at school. They may also transport students and faculty to special events, such as field trips or sporting events.

• Elementary Teachers – Teachers create lesson plans and teach those plans to the entire class, individually to students or in small groups, track student progress and present the information to parents, create tests, create and reinforce classroom rules, work with school administration prepare students for standardized tests, and manage. 

• Preschool/Infant Teachers and Aides – Assist the lead teacher in imparting classroom instruction based on predefined curriculum. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment for children. Assist the lead teacher in ensuring the physical, social, cognitive and educational excellence of children. Ensure that the classroom is aesthetically attractive so that students enjoy their surroundings while learning lessons
