Job Description

Alliance Scientific Solutions is looking for a Warehouse Material Handler for our client located near Peachtree Corners, GA.

Pay: $15/Hour

Temp to Hire Opportunity


Performs a wide range of general duties in support of daily responsibilities associated with the functions of the organization. To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess strong organizational, and communication skills. Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities Related to the Job:

  • Follow written and verbal instructions provided by warehouse supervisor.
  • Load and unload material onto or from pallets, trays, racks, trucks, and/or shelves by forklift and/or hand.
  • Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Accurately receive and verify material as specified in procedures.
  • Proficiently ship materials and verify accuracy of shipment as specified in procedures.
  • Convey material from storage or worksites to designated area as directed by warehouse supervisor.
  • Follow work instructions and/or check work orders to ascertain materials or containers to be moved and package materials needed for shipment of the customer orders.
  • Maintain accurate daily forklift logs.
  • Maintain valid certification to operate forklift (standing forklift).
  • Ensure all out bound products are free and clear of leaks, tears, or any other visible damage.
  • Repackage and re-label materials as specified in work-orders, procedures, or verbal instructions.
  • Perform periodic inventory cycle counts as outlined in company procedures.
  • May perform other duties as deemed necessary.
  • Dimensions:
  • Operate under the guidance of the warehouse supervisor/Supply Chain Manager.
  • Accountable for the accuracy of daily orders

Required Qualifications and Knowledge:


  • High School graduate/diploma or equivalent (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Ability to read and interpret documents oftentimes of a mathematical or confidential nature. Ability to effectively present information and respond to common inquiries or complaints from managers.


  • Ability to apply concepts such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.


  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.


  • Qualified powered industrial truck (forklift) operator.


  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software: Excel or similar spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word or similar word processing software. Also, ability to learn and utilize company ERP software.
