Job Description

Alliance Scientific is currently recruiting a Production Supervisor for growing, stable, food manufacturing company in Perham, MN. This is a 2nd or 3rd shift, direct hire positions with full benefits, 401k. The Production Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the food production process and will provide a strong leadership presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting and maintaining Food Safety and Quality programs.
  • Ensure that all personnel have been adequately trained to perform the functions on the production lines.
  • Collaborate with Production Leads to resolve product quality issues.
  • Daily verification of the production schedule and sequencing of the schedule to ensure maximum output from all production lines.
  • Responsible for the gathering and sharing of pass-down information with the oncoming shift.
  • Ensure that all process parameters are followed accurately and that the staff has a clear understanding of the process controls and specs.
  • Complete first article inspections on all production runs.
  • Partner with Production Line Leads to ensure customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery are met.
  • Complete all tasks in Performance Management programs and HR documents including annual evaluations and employee performance documentation.
  • Work with Leads and all production staff to bring up any new production lines and ensure that the production staff is thoroughly trained and that all new documents for the production lines are made available to all staff.

Requirements:

  • Manufacturing Environment including - hazards, safety requirements, logistical requirements
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (current)
  • SQF or HACCP preferred.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in written documents.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.
  • Bachelor's degree or comparable experience.
  • 2 years production leadership experience.
  • Food manufacturing experience highly preferred but not required.
