Job Description

Alliance Scientific Solutions is currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor in the Sharonville, OH area for a National Food Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Establish operational procedures for activities such as handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current by rolling cycle counts.

Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment.

Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production schedules and receiving raw materials.

Review with R&D what raw materials need to be pulled that day, pending items from previous day, e-mail requests, etc.

Organizes raw materials, consolidates racks, empty containers, finished products, etc. on the shelves in the warehouse to ensure the area is neat, clean, and accessible.

Inventory containers and larger quantities of raw materials.

Ensure all items are stored properly in cold box at all times. Oversee all Taylor movements to ensure consolidation of shipments to reduce costs of multiple shipments

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 3 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet Explorer Internet software, Microsoft Office, and our ERP system.

Other Skills and Abilities

Manage late deliveries and pickups by shipping companies. Quickly Adapt to changing situations
